Normal Delivery

Normal delivery, also known as a vaginal birth, is the most common way for a baby to be born. During this process, the baby is born through the mother’s vagina. It typically occurs after a full-term pregnancy, which is around 40 weeks’ gestation. Normal delivery doesn’t include any surgical procedure. Normal vaginal delivery is generally considered the safest option for both the mother and the baby when there are no complications present. It also allows the mother’s body to recover the quickest. Any woman with a healthy lifestyle and normal blood pressure can give vaginal birth to their baby.

Tips to facilitate normal delivery

Stay Healthy and active: Women who are physically active have higher chances of having normal delivery. Attend regular prenatal check-ups, eat a balanced diet rich in nutrients, stay hydrated, and do regular exercise (as approved by your doctor).

Stay Hydrated and Nourished: Drink plenty of water and eat light, nutritious snacks during labor. An adequate weight gain is also required during the process.

Stay Positive: Keep a positive mindset, do remember that each woman’s labor experience is unique, and you are capable of handling whatever comes your way.
